Es la historia de dos hombres: un emprendedor y un maestro herbolario. Cuando Alessandro Martini y Luigi Rossi se hicieron cargo de la destilería nacional de vinos y licores en un pequeño pueblo cerca de Turín, ocurrió la magia. Fue en 1863 que el espíritu emprendedor de Martini y el genio creativo de Rossi se convirtieron en un vermut que ha perdurado durante más de 150 años: el inimitable Martini Rosso.

La ubicación seleccionada no fue un accidente. El pequeño pueblo de Pessione fue cuidadosamente elegido por su proximidad a los enólogos de Piamonte, las estribaciones de los Alpes, ricas en botánica, el comercio de vermuts de Turín y el puerto de Génova. 

Hoy, los visitantes de todo el mundo van a Pessione a explorar el patrimonio de su exportación más famosa. Hogar de Casa Martini, el Museo del Vino y la Galería Mondo Martini, este pequeño lugar rural es un imán para los entusiastas del vino y amantes de los cócteles del mundo.

Una mezcla perfecta

La influencia de Martini ha abarcado continentes y décadas. Su esencia siempre estará arraigada a la región del Piamonte. El arte de mezclar en Martini es una habilidad que se transmite de maestro en maestro durante de ocho generaciones. 

Ya sean las ediciones limitadas o de los clásicos, cada botella de Martini comienza con los vinos, cuidadosamente seleccionados de las mejores cosechas. Para este vermut mezclan vinos blancos crujientes, incluido el Trebbiano de Emilia Romagna y el Cataratto de Sicilia, junto con combinaciones cuidadosamente formuladas de frutas aromáticas, cortezas, especias y hierbas exóticas, como Artemisia, recogidas de los campos cercanos de Pancalieri.

Igualmente, el entorno de Piamonte cerca de la región de Asti, permite utilizar uvas bianco moscato para hacer Asti Spumante. El fino prosecco vintage está hecho en Pessione con uvas 100% Glera cultivadas en Véneto.
